My Philosophy

My philosophy is very simple:

Every Pregnancy deserves to be Cherished.

Every Newborn deserves to be Celebrated.

Every Milestone deserves to be Captured.

There are never enough firsts in life, and it’s important to treasure them all.
Your memories are like no one else’s. Your photographs should be the same.

It is an honor and a joy to meet so many families.
I look forward to working with you in the future.

The Experience

I love what I do. I am not just a photographer I am an artist. I believe that my talent is a gift that God has given to me to use to show His love throughout the world.  My goal is to treat every person that comes through my doors with love and kindness. To capture those moments of happiness, joy and celebration.

When you contact me about your session I will set up a time to meet with you. These meetings are very special to me, it gives me a chance to connect with you and learn about your session needs, wants and style. They also allow me to answer and questions that you might have and allow you to get to know me as well.

When it is your session day, you should expect a very calm atmosphere. The room is warm and comforting. From the time baby comes into the studio I will take over caring for them (unless they need to be fed!). My goal is to offer you as parents a time to relax, sit back and soak in the cuteness.  Each baby that comes into my studio is prayed over, sung to and most importantly loved on.

Frequently Asked Questions

As soon as possible.I tend to book about 3 months in advance, and take a limited amount of clients a month. I  highly recommend getting that deposit and contract signed as soon as you can to ensure I will be available for your session.
Capturing your newborn within the first two weeks of life while they are still sleepy and flexible, this can make all the difference in your newborn portraits.  Since we never really know when your little one will arrive, I will put you on my “pending arrivals” section in my calendar to hold a spot for you. Once your baby is born I will move your appointment accordingly.
If your baby came early or if your baby is already born, don’t panic! I always do my best to squeeze newborns into my schedule.

Each baby is on their own little schedule. Since each baby is on their own schedule, I like to let them run the show. My average session is 2 1/2 hours, but I’ve had sessions take up to 4. It just depends on your baby and how he or she feels that day.

Newborns photograph best without any clothes on. I also love to photograph newborns swaddled in blankets with lots of texture and snuggled up tight in buckets and baskets. I have an extensive supply of newborn hats, bows and headbands that coordinate beautifully with our blankets and props that I will use to stylize your session. I encourage clients to bring special, heirloom/personal items which make the session and images especially meaningful.

I recommend that you bring baby to the session well rested and plan to feed baby as soon as you arrive. Sleepy babies photograph perfectly. Please arrive with baby dressed in a front zippered or buttoned outfit. I will undress and swaddle baby before handing them over to you for a feeding. This is to not disturb them by undressing them after the feeding. I take several breaks for feeding baby during the session to ensure that baby is happy and is full. Please do not be too concerned with scheduled feedings during the session. It is best that you feed baby on demand or when they get a bit fussy to ensure their comfort and a smooth session.

Please wait (if possible) until after your session. I will be tightly swaddling your boy naked in scarves and delicate fabrics. The fabrics are soft, however a fresh circumcision is very fragile and often uncomfortable for a newborn. When I wrap and unwrap, along with change his position or pose, the circumcision can become irritated even further which leads to a VERY unhappy baby who is not able to be photographed. I do not want to make your baby hurt or uncomfortable.
Please note, I feel very strongly about this and I WILL send you home if your baby arrives at the studio and has been circumcised within 4 days of your session.

I love to capture the emotion of those special first days with your new little one. There is no greater image than a new mommy or daddy cuddling with and admiring their newborn child.  Skin on skin images are a unique way to capture the simplicity of your relationship with baby. I also ask parents to bring a neutral colored shirt for some images as well. Skin on Skin images are not a requirement. Your comfort level is important to me as well!
